After everything that has happened recently, I would like to touch on one subject.

I had a wise man tell me that either you know how to play politics or you will be ruled by it.

Anyone who knows politics will know the following latin phrasing (also used with lawyers):

‘Ad Hominem’

short for the full phrase:

‘Argumentum Ad Hominem’

For those that don’t know the term, it translates into “If you can not attack the message, attack the messenger”

If someone is presenting a message, and someone gets upset because of the person, and does not even touch the message it reminds me of this phrase.

In court, if ‘an expert’ is presenting something, and the opposition then goes after and attacks the person, their past, something about the person.

The opposition is just attempting to sew seeds of doubt on the person and take away their title as ‘an expert’.

They can not attack what was presented because defecto they admit it IS the truth, but that truth goes against their case.

I will say this, I am no expert on about anything, I have some knowledge, but I present what I have to the best of my ability. I welcome discourse on any material presented, because that is how I grow, that is how we all can grow and be better. If you go Ad Hominem, that does nothing but show true colors of what type of person they are, and the funny part; they admit that what is presented as truth.
