Humans are adorable...

  • Humans say 'ow', even if they have not actually been hurt. It is just a thing they say when they think they might have been hurt, but are not sure yet.

  • Humans collect shiny things and decorate their bodies and nests with them. The shinier the better, although each individual has a unique taste for style and coloring.

  • Humans are not an aquatic or even amphibious species, but they flock to bodies of water simply to play in it. They can not even hold their breath all that long; they just love to splash!

  • When night falls and the sky goes dark, humans become drowsy and begin to cocoon themselves in soft, fluffy bedding.

  • Some humans spend time in each others nests! Just for fun! It is not their nest; they are just visiting each other.

  • Some humans use pigments and dyes to make their bodies flashy and colorful! They even attach shiny dangle bits to their cartilaginous membranes!

  • Humans are very clever, and sometimes adopt creatures from other species into their family units. They don't seem to notice the obvious differences, and often raise them alongside their own young!

  • If a human sees another creature in distress, they can commonly be observed trying to help! Even at their own risk, most humans are deeply compassionate creatures!

  • If a human hears a particularity catchy sound or tune, it will often mimic it, even to the point of annoying themselves!

  • Sneezes are entirely involuntary, and completely adorable. Especially when the human in question becomes frustrated

  • Humans love treats!!! Some more than others. Many humans will save these treats specifically for a later date when they are in need of comfort or reassurance. IE, pickles, pop tarts, Popsicle, etc

  • They are learning to travel in space!!! They can not get very far, but they are trying!!! So far, they have made it to the end of their yard, and have found rocks.

  • Humans have created languages, a complex system of noises and symbols, to share their thoughts. They even use these to create stories that never happened and places that do not exist, just for enjoyment!

  • When humans are fond of other creatures, they will often create a special sound or name to call them, even if that creature cannot understand or respond.

  • Humans will sometimes move their bodies rhythmically to sounds, a practice they refer to as 'dancing'. This activity seems to bring them great joy, even though it serves no immediate survival purpose.

  • They adorn their living spaces with plants, which they meticulously care for, despite the fact that these plants often serve no purpose other than being visually pleasing.

  • Humans will often form attachments to objects, assigning them sentimental value and becoming emotionally distressed if they are lost, even if the object has no practical use.

  • They have an inexplicable love for miniature versions of things, finding them disproportionately delightful simply because they are small.

  • When humans are happy, they will sometimes expel air in a series of short bursts, a behavior known as 'laughing', which is contagious among their species.

  • They celebrate the day they were born every year, often with rituals involving sweet baked goods and the lighting of small fires to extinguish in unison.

  • Humans willingly enter into staring contests with their small ones, which they almost always allow the small ones to win, resulting in mutual delight.

  • They create and collect pieces of shiny metal and paper which they exchange for goods and services, and they seem to never have enough of these pieces.

  • Humans have a special fondness for the sky lights, often pausing their activities to gaze at the stars or watch their closest star disappear and reappear at the horizon.
